Billing units

What counts as a task run.

We bill on completed work, not on seats, tokens, or documents touched. One run is one unit of work your AI employee finishes and logs.

  • An invoice read, matched, and posted

One run. Reading the PDF without posting it does not count.

  • A call answered and summarized

One run. A voicemail that is only transcribed counts as a partial run.

  • A record created or updated in your system

One run per record written to your CRM, ERP, or inbox.

  • A follow-up sent on your behalf

One run per message drafted and sent after the approval gate.

  • Everything is logged

Usage shows up in the activity log before the invoice does, so the monthly total is something you can check rather than estimate.

The other option

Hiring costs more than the sticker price.

Wages are the visible part. Coverage ends when the office closes, and a second location means a second hire.

Full-time receptionist
$3,100 / month

Median wage before benefits. Covers one location, business hours only.

Bookkeeping clerk
$4,200 / month

Median wage before benefits. Does not include software, training, or turnover.

A managed AI employee
from$790 / month

Runs the same workflow every day, including weekends. Setup is one-time.

Sources: BLS OEWS median annual wage for receptionists and information clerks, May 2024; O*NET median wage for bookkeeping, accounting and auditing clerks, 2025. Both are pre-benefit figures.

Questions

What buyers ask before signing.

Is there a setup fee?
Yes, and it is one-time. Setup covers workflow design, integration, deployment, and the first acceptance test. Starter is $1,500, Growth $2,500, Scale from $5,000. It is quoted after the free audit and does not change once work starts.
What happens if we exceed the task limit?
Nothing stops. Runs above the plan limit are billed at the plan's overage rate: $0.30 for Starter, $0.22 for Growth, $0.15 for Scale. Usage appears in the activity log before the invoice arrives.
Can we change plans?
Yes, at the start of any billing month. Moving up takes effect immediately. Moving down takes effect at the next renewal, so a busy quarter does not leave you paying for capacity you no longer need.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing is 15% below the monthly rate: Starter $671 a month, Growth $1,615. Scale is quoted separately because scope varies.
What if the workflow does not work out?
The audit is free. Before paid work starts we agree on what counts as a passing acceptance test. If the first workflow does not pass it, you do not move to monthly billing. For later workflows, we revise the scope rather than bill for output that misses the test.
Who owns the data and the deployment?
You do. Deployment runs on infrastructure you control, and the stack is self-hosted and open. We hold access only for the support window you authorize, and every session is logged.
How long until the first workflow goes live?
A focused proof of concept typically takes two to three weeks once we have the documents, access, and workflow rules. Connected multi-workflow builds take longer, and the schedule is agreed before setup is billed.
Is there a contract term?
Monthly plans run month to month. Annual plans are billed for twelve months up front at the discounted rate. Neither plan auto-renews without notice: we ask before the next period starts.
